Listography; Top 5 Phrases That Drive Me Crazy

This week Kate is asking us what are those phrases which drive us crazy.
And oh, there are a few.

Keep your eyes peeled
This makes me cringe, every time. I imagine someone trying to peel back my eyelids, and gauge out my eyes. I can’t not take that phrase literally. Just don’t say it!

Shit’s gonna hit the fan
Again, seriously. Not an image I want in my mind! Something bad’s gonna happen, there will be an argument. Whatever. But in no case, is any shit going to hit a fan. And if that ever were to happen. I don’t want to be there.

You’re the quiet one
No, I’m not. I just met you. You don’t know me. But somehow, you decided this was the first thing you were going to say to me, repeatedly? You’re just not worth talking to.

That’s what she said
No she didn’t. Just shut up.

It’s always in the last place you look
Yes, it is. Why would you continue looking when you have found it? It will be, inevitably.

That’s all I’ve got really. Please avoid using the afore mentioned phrases and we shall get on just fine :)

Listography; Top 5 Tips For Bloggers

I am loving Kate Takes 5′s Listography this week of Top 5 Tips For Bloggers and I have being taking note!

So today I have attempted to pimp my blog! Note the word attempted, I’m not very good. I don’t have any advice for you fellow bloggers as my blogs only a few months old, but I took on board your advice and this is what I achieved!

1. I managed to add all the badges to the linky that I do weekly, so now I won’t be able to lose the links and everyone can see what they are Now need to add Listography!

2. I made a banner! Which took me blooming ages. It is far from perfect, but it’s a start! Are you feeling me on a more personal level now bloggers? Or just bored of looking at my boobs? ;) Sorry, they were the only photos I had to breast hand.

3. I added an ‘About Me’, seems as this is the first thing I look at on everyone elses blog, I thought I’d better have one myself too.

4. I made a separate page for Sexy Saturday so it is easy to find and also made a badge for it!

5. I added an RSS feeder, as I think quite a lot of people use these?! I dont know if it works or not though, I may have done it wrong!

So thank you all for your fabulous advice.

It also helps that my laptop has decided to work today, I hope it continues doing so!

November

November is a pretty strange time to start a blog. Well I think so anyway. I would love to have started it in the new year, but I would have forgotten what I was going to write. Or started it in Spetember, but then I would have nothing to write.

Here’s my November:

Saw my best friends who I hadn’t seen in six months

I miss my friends, a lot. So I was very excited when I got to see them again on bonfire night and showed that they still love me even though I moved away. No one can ever replace them and I look forward to seeing them again at Christmas!

Became a Godmother to my gorgeous little niece

I recently became an Auntie! And now I have to show her the christian way… Erm… ‘Do as I say, and not as I do’ shall definitely be my motto for her!

Had a birthday

Yes, yes. Although I love to deny it. I’m getting old. Now where did I put that zimmer frame?

Worked twelve days straight

There is nothing more shattering than losing your weekend, oh no wait, that would be working 24/12 wouldn’t it? Yep, that was definitely an exhausting time!

Dated a man for a month without scaring him away

I tried, but there’s just no shaking him off yet.

Started this blog

Well, good thing he’s still around or I’d have nothing to write about ;)

Bought a bridesmaid dress for my sisters wedding

This day caused a lot of argument, disagreements, and cost me a fortune in picture messages, texts and phone calls. Oh, and the dress that cost £400! My sister better bloody like this dress I bought, not that she had much say in it.

Visited Winter Wonderland

I took the kids to the Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park. Paid a fortune for rides, and watched the toddler cry at Santa (Please leave her on the ‘nice’ list!)

Lets see what next month brings!
